According to some sensational reports from Spain, Liverpool will try to sign Real Madrid star Marco Asensio in the next summer transfer window.
The Reds tried to grab the 22-year-old forward already last summer, but Florentino Perez allegedly turned down a 180m offer because he didn’t want to lose both Cristiano Ronaldo and Asensio in less than a month.
Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of the talented Spaniard and would like to see him in his respective squad. Klopp’s goal is to assemble a team capable of challenging for trophies in England as well as Europe.
The Merseysiders are enjoying an impressive season in the Premier League, sitting second in the table, as one of two teams that are yet to suffer a failure.

With all of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, and Roberto Firmino continuing to perform at the highest level, Liverpool are not forced to make significant efforts in the winter transfer session.
However, the German expert is said to be eager to further strengthen his attacking department at the end of the season, as he looks to bring the glory days back to Anfield.
Still, Asensio’s contract with the reigning European champions will run out in 2023, and it’s highly improbable to expect Los Blancos would accept to deprive themselves of one of the brightest talents in Europe.
